Storm now, sunshine very soon

September 15, 2018 —

Yes, it’s too easy to say, but our thoughts and prayers are with the Carolinas and the folks currently being battered by Florence. And Trump chooses this moment not to talk about that, but instead to deny the deaths in Puerto Rico.

A storm flattened poor Puerto Rico,
But Trump doesn’t give a burrito,
He promised their power
Would come on in an hour,
But sadly, he’s not their amigo!

So to get worse than Trump, maybe a killer
Could be the next Presidency filler,
But wait! Trump’s bad war
On San Juan, PR,
Caused deaths in droves—Trump’s a mass killer!

We’re in a storm now, but there is sunshine coming sometime soon.

If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind? — Percy Bysshe Shelley

If in one thing a soul be sore aggrieved,
Yet in another, she shall be relieved.
— Geoffrey Chaucer, The Canterbury Tales, The Reeve’s Tale
